we believe that a safe and healthy treat starts with a transparent process. Our Himalayan dog chews are crafted using time-honored techniques and a modern commitment to quality. We are proud to share the journey of our chews, from the high-altitude pastures of Nepal to your pet’s bowl.

Step 1: The Art of Sourcing & Collection

Our process begins with the finest, freshest milk from yaks and cows raised by local farmers in the pristine, high-altitude regions of the Himalayas. The animals graze on natural grasses and fresh spring water, producing rich, high-quality milk. This ethical and sustainable sourcing is the foundation of our product’s purity and taste. We believe in supporting the local communities that are the heart of this ancient tradition.

Step 2: From Milk to Curd – The Transformation

The milk is first heated to a specific temperature in a controlled environment. This initial heating process, a form of pasteurization, ensures any harmful bacteria are eliminated while preserving the milk’s vital nutrients. . Following this, a small, precise amount of lime juice and salt is added. This natural combination causes the milk to curdle, separating the nutrient-rich solids (curds) from the whey. This traditional, all-natural method ensures our chews are free from any artificial chemicals or binding agents.

Step 3: Pressing & Shaping

Once the curds are formed, they are collected and carefully pressed to remove all excess moisture. This critical step is done over a minimum of 24 hours to create a dense, hard block of cheese. This meticulous pressing is what gives our chews their unique, long-lasting texture. The blocks are then cut by hand or with specialized equipment into various shapes and sizes, ensuring the perfect chew for every dog. .

Step 4: The Long Dry – A Test of Patience

This is where the magic truly happens. Our chews undergo a meticulous, multi-stage drying process. First, they are placed in a heated room for several hours to begin the hardening process. The chews are then moved to a dedicated drying room with a controlled temperature and humidity for a period of up to several weeks. This slow, gradual process naturally removes moisture, creating the final, rock-hard consistency that your dog will love. This extensive drying process also acts as a natural preservative, meaning our chews don’t need artificial additives.

Step 5: Final Quality & Safety Checks

Before a single chew is packaged, it undergoes rigorous quality control. We check for consistent texture and weight, and most importantly, we conduct a final moisture analysis. We ensure the moisture content is extremely low, guaranteeing a long shelf life and a hard, safe product. Every single batch is also sent to an independent, third-party laboratory for comprehensive testing, including for the absence of harmful pathogens like Salmonella. This final step ensures that what you’re giving your dog is not just delicious, but also completely safe.
